How-to

    1. Visit https://www.facebook.com/crisisresponse/ to find a Crisis Page
      *If you use Business Manager you must go through business.facebook.com/crisisresponse
      *Currently available to whitelisted partners
    2. Click on the specific incident that you want to offer support for.
    3. Click Support in the top left-hand corner.
    4. Click Give help, then select the category that matches the type of help you're offering.
    5. Fill in the information and select your Page from the "Author" field.
    6. Click Create.
    1. Click Manage your posts.
    2. Click the specific post.
    3. Click Edit post/Delete.

    When services are fulfilled, please mark your post as closed.

    1. Go to a crisis Page.
    2. Click Manage your posts in the left-hand menu.
    3. Click the specific post.
    4. Click the blue Mark as Closed button.

    You can create fundraisers for charities and personal causes on Facebook within a crisis Page.
    To create a fundraiser, follow the below steps:

    1. Visit Crisis Response on Facebook and select a crisis that you would like to create a fundraiser for.
    2. Scroll down to the crisis Page and select Raise money.
    3. Select Charity or Friend on Facebook.
    4. Select or search for the friend or charity of your choice.
    5. Fill in the information for who or what you want to raise money for.
    6. Click Create.

    This feature is currently only available in the United States and you must be 18 years or older to create a personal fundraiser.

    This feature enables Pages to share timely information, such as your offered services or contact information, making it easier to get real-time updates.

    2. Click on the specific incident that you want to offer support for.
    3. Click Support in the top left-hand corner.
    4. Click Give Help and select the Information category.
    5. Fill in the information and select your Page from the "Author" field.
    6. Click Create.

    Recommended best practices

    Post as soon as you can

    Offers and requests for help made within four days of the crisis onset were most engaging and helpful for the affected community.

    300-450 words or about five sentences.

    Eligibility and requirements


    Crisis Response posts must follow these guidelines:

    • They must follow our Community Standards.
    • They must be relevant to the crisis.
    • They can't be promotional in nature or contain commercial offers.
    • If you've successfully given help, let people know.
